Spring 2015
Service learning is required for this course.
Learning objective: Students will learn how to visually communicate for a specific audience by researching, developing and presenting proposals to a local non profit.
Students will create a design narrative that shares the history and culture of Bayou St. John. The exhibition will be on display at the 11th Annual Bayou Boogaloo. This ongoing history project will grow each year. This first year will focus on the location and address questions such as, "What did the Bayou look like before people arrived?" Through historical research and design problem solving, students will create something that shares this information with the community and the festival.
