Pre-Service Requirements

Pre-service requirements are things volunteers must do before serving at an agency. These often include trainings, background checks, and paperwork. Pre-service requirements are sometimes more extensive, involving health screenings, drug tests, interviews, and applications. On the other hand, some agencies have no pre-service requirements.

It is the responsibility of the student and the agency to ensure that all pre-service requirements are completed in a timely and efficient manner. OCELTS can assist by providing space to conduct training and orientation. Additional support may be available including help for students filling out an official fingerprint card and low-cost TB tests for students through Loyola’s Student Health Services.
