The Neutral Ground Collective,Inc. mission is provide holistic mental health care utilizing nature and the arts. Individual and group sessions incorporate a trauma-sensitive approach to allow individuals and communities to thrive.

What you do

Students will be assisting with community art therapy groups for trauma support. Groups are both psycho-educational and therapeutic. Students will help set up art supplies and help break down after groups. Groups will be both outdoors and indoors through out the city and small coastal towns around New Orleans. We provide trauma and disaster mental health services. 

What you learn

Students will learn about trauma and holistic interventions to help our communities integrate trauma. We are trained and certified in the field of trauma so you we learn theories and techniques that are evident based practices from the Trauma Research Foundation and the Polyvagal Institute. You will learn how the creative process and nature-based therapeutic theories are essential for trauma integration.

People with low literacy
People who are homeless or in transitional housing situations
People dealing with mental or physical illness,Victims of crime or violence
People involved in social justice advocacy or community organizing
Trained artists or musicians
