Raphael Village is a non-profit organization that supports differently-abled people in becoming fully engaged in life and community. Founded on principles that integrate education, community life, life-sharing, and the arts to meet the needs of youth and adults with developmental disabilities, Raphael Village provides holistic learning programs, vocational training, and community for differently-abled people to be lovingly supported in mind, body and spirit throughout their lives.
Service learning students help to cultivate a therapeutic environment in which our members develop their fullest potential through artistic experiences, daily living skills, gardening and pre-vocational activities.
Students will learn to observe individual's behaviors, how they interact with one another and how to guide them in engaging in a full life. Students will gain an understanding of inclusion, accessibility, communication, advocacy, and social support.
